A Stalker's King
To the tune of  "A Soldier's King" from Donny's Christmas At Home CD
Adapted by Sister Petunia & Sister Celestine,
with additional input from Sister Organza
No one seemed to notice
The fan beside the road
She was just a ragged stalker
Out there in the cold
But she seemed to have a purpose
Only known to her
As she walked along the streets that night
In her thermal underwear

In her head she held the memory
Of the concert she'd just seen
Then she walked into a lamppost
Realised "it's just a dream"
And the words of every ballad
She knew off by heart
And her eyes were clear and searching
For his hotel in the dark

HOME
BACK
The CLD Sisters make their debut...
Some are born with dress sense
And some have none at all
And grown men wearing purple socks
Should be shot against a wall
He's made some odd decisions
And we've stood by them all
But this game show is the saddest choice of all

She had followed him to Utah, Toronto and Japan
And she'd sung along to lyrics
That she did not understand
But there was something deep inside her now
That led her on her way
With a dodgy map to guide her
To where her dream boy stayed

Some will go to great lengths
And some won't try at all
And some are just contented with their pictures on the wall
But those who want to know him
Will tug with all their might
On the off chance the loincloth slips tonight

She stood before the son of George
Up to her neck in debt
And he smiled up at this sad fan
That he would soon forget
So she held out her hand and said
"I've come all the way from Tring"
And there she passed out quietly before music's uncrowned king

Some are born to greatness
And some are born to fall
Some are bound to be forgotten
Like they never lived at all
But we're all born to love him
And tremble at his sight
Like the stalker who found her king tonight

We're all stalkers
Who need to get a life!
